Attorney Cynthia J. Bosco, received her J.D. from the University of Miami in Coral Gables, Florida. She is licensed to practice law in Florida and Ohio as well as in the Middle District of Florida and the 6th Circuit Court of Appeals. She practices in both state and Federal Court as well as in front of administrative agencies and focuses on litigation, including family law, commercial litigation, construction litigation, and general civil litigation.
C.J. is active in the local, state and national bar associations. She is a member of the Florida Bar, the Lee County Bar Association, the American Bar Association and the Ohio State Bar Association as well as a member of the Calusa Chapter of the American Inns of Court, and the Florida Association of Womens’ Lawyers. She is the former Vice-President of the Collier County Bar Association Young Lawyers Section and previously served a two-year term on the Florida Bar Young Lawyers Division, Board of Governors. She joined the Board again for another term in 2006-2007as a Presidential appointment. She is also a member of the Florida Bar's Family Law Section and also serves as a liaison between the Young Lawyers Division and the General Practice, Solo and Small Firm Section.
C.J. is also active in the American Bar Association. She is a member of the Young Lawyers Special Projects Committee and serves as Vice Chair of the General Practice Solo and Small Firm Committee of the Young Lawyers Division for the 2005-2006 bar year. She is also a member of the Family Law Section, the Litigation Section, the General Practice, Solo and Small Firm Division and the Young Lawyers Division.
Along with her law practice, C.J. currently teaches Family Law at Edison College.
C.J. founded Hubbard Law Firm, P.A. in 2005, which became Bosco Law Firm, P.A. in May, 2006. Previously, C.J. was an Associate at Frank R. Recker & Associates, Co. L.P.A. in Marco Island, Florida. Dr. Recker is a licensed dentist who became an attorney and now represents clients across the country for professional licensing and health care related issues. Prior to working for Dr. Recker, C.J. was in the litigation department at a Naples, Florida law firm.
While at the University of Miami, C.J. received honors in Litigation Skills and received the book award for the highest grade in the immigration and asylum workshop. She also received the Nicole E. Kleban Memorial Scholarship and a Public Interest Law Grant. She was a quarterfinalist in the mock trial competition, as well as a quarterfinalist in the moot court competition. She also served on the Law Activity Fee Allocation Committee, as Vice President of Miami Law Women, as Co-Chair and Teacher of the Prison Education Project and was an Admissions Ambassador.
C.J. was born and raised in Grand Rapids, Michigan. She attended Alma College, in Alma, Michigan, proudly following her mother and brother to their alma mater. She graduated from Alma College with a Bachelors Degree in English Literature. She lives in Fort Myers, Florida, with her husband, Dan, and their Corgi, Finlay.
